What are AI agents?

An AI agent is software that, given a goal, looks at your records, plans the next step and carries it out. A chatbot only answers; an agent does work: it opens a draft quote, suggests a technician, lists target companies. A good business agent states plainly what it saves itself and what waits for your approval.

How is an agent different from a chatbot or an automation rule?

The difference is who decides. An automation rule runs a condition written in advance, a chatbot answers a question in text, and an agent decides which records to look at and what to do based on the goal.

Which agents does PureField have?

In PureField, agents are not a separate product; they are assistants that run on PAIOS (PureField AI Operating System), inside the panel. Each one looks at the records in its own area.

Sales AutopilotFinds leads, imports them into the CRM, sends the cold email sequence, sorts repliesStart the campaign once; turn it off any time with the stop switch

Will an agent change records on your behalf?

Some, yes; others wait for you. Copilot's complete create and update plans are saved directly. If a plan deletes something, is missing fields, needs a form step or used content read from an external source, the card waits for your approval.

Digital employees suggest and wait for approval by default. Purchase orders are always approved by someone on your team. The directors and digital employees in the meeting are AI personas with an AI badge; your team makes the call. For the full rules, see what are AI digital employees.

How is the assistant on this site different from Copilot?

The PureField AI Agent on this website explains the product and answers your questions. Copilot only works inside the panel you're signed in to, with your data.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between an AI agent and a chatbot?

A chatbot answers a question in text. An agent looks at records based on a goal, makes a plan and creates or updates records. That's why what an agent saves without approval has to be clearly defined.

Where is our data processed?

Your account data stays in your own project, and the AI service reaches it through an authorised service account. The API key is never sent to the browser; requests go through the panel. Content an agent works on is sent to the AI model.

Who sends the emails?

The agent writes the email draft and you decide whether to send it. With Sales Autopilot you start the campaign once, then the sequence emails go out on their own, and the stop switch turns it off any time. Marketing campaigns are always started by someone on your team.

Can we rename the digital employees?

Yes. You can change the default team's names and titles for your company in your own account.
