PureField LIMS: from sample to signed report.

PureField LIMS is a laboratory information management system for testing, calibration and medical laboratories, from sample receipt to report approval. It works in line with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 15189: results come from the instrument or are typed in, a second person reviews them, an authorised person signs them off, and every change is logged with its reason.

How a sample moves

Each step is done by a person authorised for that work.

  1. 1

    Sample receipt

Reception picks the customer, the sample and the requested analyses. The sample gets a number and a QR label; a record sent from the field is accepted or rejected at the lab.

  2. 2

    Work list

Each analysis is assigned to an analyst. Each analyst's work list shows what is waiting for a result, review or approval, with its due date.

  3. 3

    Result entry

The value comes straight from the instrument or is typed in. The instrument and reagent lot used are linked to the analysis, and the measurement uncertainty is kept with the result.

  4. 4

    Review

A second authorised person, never the one who entered it, reviews the result and signs it electronically. A wrong result goes back for correction with a reason.

  5. 5

    Approval

A person authorised for the method approves the result. An approved result stays fixed; a correction invalidates it with a reason and a signature, and the original record is kept.

  6. 6

    Report

The report is built from approved results and issued with an electronic signature. TÜRKAK's rules on the accreditation mark and on referring to accreditation are applied to it automatically.

  7. 7

    Customer

The customer sees and downloads the report in the portal. The QR code on the report opens a verification page that shows whether the report is valid.

Quality records build up as you work.

  • Instruments and calibration

Calibration, maintenance and verification records live on the instrument card, with reminders before they fall due. Only an instrument in service with a valid calibration can be added to an analysis.

  • Measurement uncertainty

Uncertainty is calculated with the Nordtest and GUM approaches and carried to the report. Where a limit is set, the conformity decision takes the uncertainty into account (ILAC-G8).

  • Internal quality control

Control charts draw themselves; Westgard rules, EWMA and CUSUM flag drifts. When a method is out of control, results can be approved once the violation is assessed.

  • Proficiency testing

PT results are scored with z, z′, ζ and En. The TÜRKAK F704-001 list exports as CSV.

  • CAPA and quality records

Complaints, nonconforming work, risks and internal audit findings link to a CAPA. A CAPA closes with root cause, actions and an e-signed effectiveness check.

  • Document control

Every document revision is approved with the e-signature of someone other than its author. Read-and-understood tasks are assigned to readers by role, job title or name.

  • Staff competence

Authorisation to enter and approve results is granted per method and per person, with an e-signature. Training and effectiveness reviews are kept in the personnel file.

  • AI assistant

Answers questions about your records within your permissions, reads the document in force and cites its page. Available in the cloud edition; approval and signature always stay with an authorised person.

Every change is logged with its reason.

PureField LIMS works in line with ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO 15189 requirements. The rules run in the database, so the same rule applies whichever screen a change is made from.

Audit trail
Creations, changes, signatures and sign-ins are written with before and after values, the reason and the server time. Records are linked in a SHA-256 chain that can be verified on screen.
Signatures bound to the record
Reviewing, approving or issuing a report asks for the password again. The signature is bound to the record as it is at that moment; if the record changes later, the signature no longer holds.
Segregation of duties
The person who approves a result is always someone other than the person who entered it, and this rule is locked. Quality records are kept; only their status changes.
ISO/IEC 17025 compliance map
Every screen shows the clause it relates to. The map lists the ISO/IEC 17025 clauses in order, each with the screens that support it and the evidence you prepared for the audit.

One record from instrument to customer.

Balances, phones in the field, the customer portal and your own systems all attach to the same sample record.

Instrument connection
An edge agent in the lab connects Mettler Toledo (MT-SICS) and Sartorius (SBI) balances and instruments that export CSV. The raw output is stored unchanged.
Field app
The Android and iOS app records the sample where it is taken, without an internet connection, and sends it to the lab once it is back online.
Customer portal
Your customers follow their samples and reports in the portal. Sign-ins and downloads go into the audit trail.
Open API
A read-only REST API (OpenAPI 3.1) passes sample, report and limit values to your own systems.

Frequently asked questions

Which laboratories is PureField LIMS for?

Testing, calibration and medical laboratories, and labs that run more than one of these. Food and water labs run the sample-to-report flow, calibration labs handle customer instrument intake, measurement points and certificates, and multi-site labs manage permissions and sample numbering per site, all in one system.

Which standards does it work with?

PureField LIMS works in line with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and ISO 15189:2022 requirements and applies TÜRKAK accreditation reference rules to reports automatically. The ISO/IEC 17025 compliance map shows the screens behind each clause and the evidence you prepared. The accreditation body makes the accreditation decision; PureField LIMS keeps your records ready for the audit.

Can results come straight from instruments?

Yes. An edge agent in the lab connects Mettler Toledo (MT-SICS) and Sartorius (SBI) balances and instruments that export CSV; the analyst links the reading to the result and the raw output is stored unchanged. For an instrument without a connection, its screen can be photographed with a phone: values are read from the photo and the analyst checks each one against it before saving.

How do our customers get their reports?

The lab invites its customer to the customer portal. The customer sees sample status, approved results and issued reports, and downloads the PDF. The QR code on the report opens a verification page that needs no sign-in and shows whether the report is valid or has been revised.

Does it run in the cloud or on our own server?

Both are available. The cloud edition runs in the browser from Google Cloud's data centre in the European Union (Netherlands). The on-premises edition installs on Linux (Docker) or Windows Server and runs without an internet connection. Both editions have the same screens and the same rules.

How do we get a PureField LIMS demo?

Request an account on the PureField LIMS sign-up page (in Turkish): the laboratory or company name, your name, phone, email and laboratory type are all it asks for. We call or email you within one business day and show the demo in a sample laboratory set up with records close to your sample types. Once your laboratory is set up, an invitation email arrives for your account.
