Every card on the project board links to a record.
PureField project management is the module that runs work as cards on a kanban board. A project links to a customer; a task card links to a quote, CRM activity, purchase request, RFQ, purchase order, stock order or production batch. Describe the goal to Copilot and it opens the project with phase tasks, owners, priorities and due dates.
From a goal to a delivered project
- 1
Open the project
Start from a template, from scratch, or by asking Copilot. The project links to a customer; its status, health and progress show in the list.
- 2
Copilot plans it
Write "open an installation project for Acme and assign the tasks to the team". Copilot adds phases such as survey, design, procurement, installation, testing, training and handover as tasks, with due dates in business days.
- 3
Cards link to records
The procurement task links to a purchase request, the quote task to a quote. Open the linked record from the card or create a new one there; the quote and order pages list their linked tasks too.
- 4
The board moves
Drag cards between columns. Column rules add an owner, hold a card without a due date and keep the work-in-progress limit. Assignments, due dates, comments and completions reach the team as notifications.

What project management includes
Kanban board
Each project has its own columns: backlog, to do, in progress, review, done, or columns you name yourself. Drag cards to reorder them.
Task card
Description, priority, task type, start and due date, several assignees, watchers, colour labels, checklists, comments and file attachments on one card.
Tasks linked to records
A card links to a quote, CRM activity, purchase request, RFQ, purchase order, stock order or production batch. The linked record's page shows the task as well.
Planning with Copilot
Copilot opens the project and its phase tasks and picks owners by role, region and workload. It also answers "which tasks are overdue and who is working on what?".
Column rules
Add an owner when a card enters a column, require a due date, hold overdue cards and set a work-in-progress limit per column. The done column can require a finished checklist.
Templates, my tasks and stats
Project templates come with columns and phases. My tasks gathers the cards assigned to you; stats and the activity log show how the project is going.
Frequently asked questions
Which records can a task card link to?
Quotes, CRM activities, purchase requests, RFQs, purchase orders, stock orders and production batches. The project itself links to a customer. The linked record's page lists its tasks too.
How does Copilot plan a project?
You describe the goal. Copilot opens the project, adds five to nine tasks covering the phases of that kind of work, picks each owner by role, region and workload, sets a priority and sequences due dates from today in business days. If it cannot find a person, the card asks you to pick one.
How does the team hear about tasks?
People get a notification when a task is assigned to them, when a due date is near or has passed, when the status changes, when someone comments and when the task is completed.
Can we shape the board to our own workflow?
Yes. Name and reorder columns, set work-in-progress limits and add column rules. You can also adjust the label palette and project templates for your company.
We also use Trello. How does that work with PureField?
The Trello integration runs on its own: Trello board changes reach team chat, email or notifications based on your rules, and you can create a Trello card from a PureField record. The project management module is PureField's own board.
