What is AI role play?
AI role play is a simulation surface where teams that run sales or customer conversations practice dialogue with AI in a defined scenario. The system produces turn-based conversation, coaching scores, and feedback reports. In PureField, AI role play is part of the PureField AI service layer (`ai-role-play`). It is a simulation: by default it does not update CRM records automatically.

Evidence
What is it for?
AI role play typically supports:
- new sales-rep onboarding
- objection-handling practice
- product or pricing conversation rehearsal
- manager coaching with example conversation analysis
- confidence building before live customer calls
How does it work?
A typical flow:
1. Scenario parameters are chosen (sector, objection type, product context, etc.). 2. The user runs a turn-based dialogue with AI. 3. At session end, a coaching report and score are produced. 4. Replay can be used to review the session again.
This flow is for training and coaching—it does not create real customer records.
How is AI role play different from cold call analysis?
| AI role play | Cold call analysis |
|---|---|
| Simulation — practice before the call | Analysis of a real call transcript |
| Starts from scenario parameters | Starts from STT/text input |
| Coaching score based on simulation | Coaching + suggested CRM summary |
| Does not write to CRM by default | CRM activity write in panel with human approval |
Which teams is it for?
- B2B sales reps
- field and technical sales teams
- sales managers and coaches
- partner or dealer training programs
PureField scope and limits
PureField AI role play is a live API surface used through the panel proxy. Important limits:
- it is not a separate chatbot product—it is sales simulation and coaching
- not every tenant has the same feature set enabled
- simulation results do not automatically create pipeline or opportunity records
- training scenarios are used instead of real customer data

Frequently asked questions
Short answers that can also work well for search and answer-engine retrieval.
Does AI role play talk to real customers?
No. It is scenario-based simulation for training and coaching.
Are role play results written to CRM?
By default, no. Simulation records stay on the training surface; they do not create live CRM records.
Is it enabled for every PureField customer?
The feature set depends on tenant configuration; it is clarified during a demo conversation.
